Hello everyone and welcome to my home away from home! My name is Chris Kolb and I have been a die hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs for almost 22 years now. I grew up about 10-15 minutes away from Arrowhead Stadium and at a young age I found a passion for the Chiefs that has only grown with time.

I have always enjoyed writing but I never thought about actually making it my career. I thought my writing was fairly good, but like many people, publishing my content was pretty scary. Several years ago though, I found a sports web site that wanted to give me a shot at writing top-notch content about players in Major League Baseball, so after much deliberation, I began a side career of online sports journalism.

Although I enjoyed it immensely, over time it was becoming difficult for me to manage all the different assignments and the deadlines with my real-life job, so I decided to step away from it for a time. But after taking a few weeks off from writing, I quickly realized what I was missing, and decided to get back into the fray. This time, I wanted to do it by my own rules though, so instead of going back to work for a mainstream sports page, I decided to venture out into the unknown by starting up KC Chiefs Fanatic in February 2007.

I wanted this site to be a place for me to not only voice my thoughts on the Chiefs, but to also be a place for my fellow “KC Chiefs Fanatics” to come to find opinions and news they might not find anywhere else. And although it started out as a small, nondescript site, over the past 11 months, KC Chiefs Fanatic has evolved into a site that offers a wide variety of content on the Chiefs to suit the needs of every fan.

Well, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I am extremely thankful for all the help I have been given by Arrowhead Pride, Arrowhead Addict, and many others as well. I definitely couldn’t have done it without you. And to all of my fellow Fanatics out there who continue to make this site great, thanks for your help as well. You’re the reason why I keep writing and for that I’m eternally grateful.
